Noctra is a media player and playlist organizer. It does not provide, host, sell, rent, broadcast, or include TV channels, movies, series, playlists, EPG data, streaming links, IPTV subscriptions, or other media content.
The public Noctra website uses Google AdSense to display advertising. Depending on your location and consent choices, Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP address, browser or device information, and ad interaction data to serve, measure, and protect advertising. The Google consent message lets you allow, refuse, or manage personalized advertising. You can review Google's partner-site data practices and ad settings at any time.
- Most Noctra data stays on your device.
- Noctra does not operate an account or cloud-sync service for your profiles or viewing history.
- Network requests go to services you choose to use, such as providers, metadata services, update sources, and the Microsoft Store.
- Kynora Studio receives information only when a feature needs it or when you choose to contact support.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Noctra handles information when you use the Windows application. Noctra is designed primarily as a local, device-based application. Kynora Studio is responsible for information it directly receives, such as support messages. Third-party services you choose to use process information under their own privacy policies and terms.
2. Information You Provide
The app may store information that you enter or create, including:
- Profile names, avatars, and encrypted profile PIN data.
- Provider, playlist, portal, server, username, MAC address, and related source details.
- Playback preferences, favorites, hidden categories, watch history, and progress.
- Download selections, local download paths, EPG sources, and refresh settings.
- Premium entitlement, promotion-code state, and Microsoft Store prompt preferences.
3. Local Storage
Settings, the local database, logs, temporary playback data, and downloads
are stored on your device, primarily under Documents\Noctra
and any download folder you select. Sensitive values such as provider
passwords, profile PIN hashes, and promotion grants are protected using
Windows security mechanisms where supported.
Noctra does not sell your personal information and does not use your playlists or viewing activity to build advertising profiles.
4. Network Connections and Third-Party Services
When you add or use a provider, playlist, stream, EPG source, metadata service, update source, or Microsoft Store feature, the app connects to the relevant third-party service to perform the action you requested. Those services may receive technical information normally included in a network request, such as your IP address, request headers, source credentials, and requested resource.
Third-party services are controlled by their respective operators and are governed by their own privacy policies and terms. Noctra does not control how those services process information.
5. Diagnostics, Bug Reports, and Crash Reports
Noctra does not silently send diagnostic or crash reports to Kynora Studio. When you choose to report a bug or crash, the app opens your default email application with a draft addressed to support. The draft may contain:
- App version and Premium/Free status.
- Operating system version and processor architecture.
- Error type, message, context, and stack trace for crash reports.
- A device-specific diagnostic identifier derived from the Windows machine and user names.
- Any additional information you choose to add to the email.
Nothing is sent unless you review and send the email yourself. You may edit or remove any information from the draft before sending it.
6. Microsoft Store Purchases and Reviews
Purchases, payments, taxes, refunds, Store reviews, and entitlement processing are handled by Microsoft. Noctra may open a Microsoft Store page at your request, but it does not directly collect or process your payment-card information.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Local data remains on your device until you remove it. You can clear
history, downloads, profiles, sources, and other data from the app where
those controls are available. You can also delete the
Documents\Noctra folder and any custom download folder.
Uninstalling Noctra may not automatically remove files stored in your Documents folder or another custom download location. Delete those files manually if you want to remove all local Noctra data.
Emails you voluntarily send to support may be retained as needed to investigate the issue, provide support, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of a support email by contacting us.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You can remove local Noctra data using the controls available in the app, by deleting the Noctra data folders, or by uninstalling the app as described above. Because most data stays on your device, Kynora Studio cannot retrieve or delete local-only data on your behalf.
You may ask us to delete or correct information that Kynora Studio directly holds, such as support correspondence, subject to legal or security retention requirements. Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may also give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise a right that applies to you.
9. Data Sharing
Kynora Studio does not sell or rent personal information. Information is shared only when you direct the app to contact a third-party service, when you voluntarily send a support report, when required by law, or when necessary to protect users, rights, or application security.
10. Security
We use reasonable local security measures, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your Windows account, device, provider credentials, playlists, and content sources.
11. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when application behavior, Store requirements, or legal obligations change. The revision date at the top identifies the latest version.
